Well good for you. Go BC and UNH.....rah rah! And by the way....you are the one that stated "The latter of which is a level or two above UMO" referring to BC hockey and basketball.....which based on recent results is patently false. I provided the rebuttal with recent head to head results...

Portland is not a college sports town....I'm glad that the flagship is not located there.

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Do you really think that UMaine alums want to see BC or UNH athletics? You do know that college sports fans have their favorite teams based on where they went to school and/or grew up with....right? Also.....Maine is at the same level in hockey.....they are in the same league (Hockey East) and...

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

There are actually 2 ways out....but point taken. The plans for UMaine's athletic campus are massive. For those who haven't been up there in a while.....it will not be recognizable in 5 years. UMaine BOT just approved $27 million for soccer and track plus more parking and new access road...

Yeah this one seems worse than normal....but what can you do when Portland doesn't care what buildings look like?

Roux Institute Campus Development | Portland

The possibility of flooding still sticks out as a major problem for any development at this site. Hopefully they keep that in mind.

Please correct me if I'm wrong because maybe the state had nothing to do with this......but didn't they open a "Taj Mahal" home for veterans in Augusta a few years ago? https://www.facebook.com/MVHAugusta/ This is not meant to disparage veterans or the need for more housing.....but I hate it...

Port of Portland | Working waterfront and future developments

That's actually pretty decent. I like the fact that it is not overdone. If the design stays intact it will be nice. Please don't start littering it with "public art installations"!

    465 Congress Street | Portland

This is an issue in Maine overall. I know that we have bad weather and the money can be tight.....but the maintenance of buildings, public areas and landscape is pretty shoddy. Some plow trucks are operated by idiots and tear up everything. And those in charge of overall upkeep don't seem to...

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

There are no plans to renovate the Pit. It had some upgrades done a few years back including a new court, some paint, better lighting....and a new video board installed this season. They won't be putting anymore major money into it though.

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

They both played all of their games there for a few seasons....then the women moved all of their games to the Pit....and now the men also play most of their games there too. The men's team played 2 games in Bangor this season. The CIC never seemed to embrace UMaine as a major tenant and booted...

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

That is correct. The BOT just approved the $46 million renovation for Alfond Arena and Shawn Walsh Center which will start this spring...completion for the 25-26 season. Next up after that will be the centerpiece of the Athletics Master Plan.....Morse Arena (basketball) which is rumored to...
