Do you really think that UMaine alums want to see BC or UNH athletics? You do know that college sports fans have their favorite teams based on where they went to school and/or grew up with....right? Also.....Maine is at the same level in hockey.....they are in the same league (Hockey East) and...

There are actually 2 ways out....but point taken. The plans for UMaine's athletic campus are massive. For those who haven't been up there in a while.....it will not be recognizable in 5 years. UMaine BOT just approved $27 million for soccer and track plus more parking and new access road...

That's actually pretty decent. I like the fact that it is not overdone. If the design stays intact it will be nice. Please don't start littering it with "public art installations"!

This is an issue in Maine overall. I know that we have bad weather and the money can be tight.....but the maintenance of buildings, public areas and landscape is pretty shoddy. Some plow trucks are operated by idiots and tear up everything. And those in charge of overall upkeep don't seem to...

There are no plans to renovate the Pit. It had some upgrades done a few years back including a new court, some paint, better lighting....and a new video board installed this season. They won't be putting anymore major money into it though.
