    Congestion toll in Boston?

Totally fair. Which is why the charge at night is a lot less, basically the same as a subway ride.

    Congestion toll in Boston?

ROFL. This was exactly the same doomerism that we heard in NYC and congestion pricing has only been a success. How many "working class people" are really driving into downtown Boston for work everyday? This isn't the 1950s. They take mass transit mostly. And those who do "need" to drive save...

Cape Cod Rail, Bridges and Highways

Last time I was on the Cape, right before the election, I saw a big pro-Trump rally at the base of one of the bridges. Looks like the leopards got to their faces, too.

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Has anyone ever proposed converting the Red Line Braintree Branch to regional rail? This would solve the single-track issue limiting Old Colony Lines. This would likely only be practical after the North-South Link is built to provide needed through service.

This. The Tobin route is a bad one for many reasons.

One Harbor Shore Dr. | Fan Pier Parcel H | 1 Harbor Shore Drive | Seaport

What pathetic balconies. That's not unique to Boston, but it's something that always irks me when I see a new building. Especially with harbor views!

Report: Celtics to look into building new arena

This honestly just feels like talk to try and get some tax breaks so they can upgrade the Garden. They don't actually plan on moving.

Shmessy (and anyone else who cares), Jeremi is clearly just a sad troll. Please use the ignore function on them.

    Tobin Bridge Relocation/Replacement

Yes, but that's more so because a FJ at Maverick is a terrible idea. If you *must* branch the Blue Line, do it after Airport and have it follow the old Grand Junction in a tunnel to Chelsea. But as has been pointed out, this will screw over the rest of the riders up to Wonderland. If Red-Blue is...

Hurley Building Redevelopment | 19 Staniford St | West End

Most of these are literally worse than the Hurley Building. Why is this an issue? What is it about the West End that would be improved by opening up this super-block? And I'm not even arguing that it shouldn't. What I mean is that so many people here seem to think that breaking this into...

    Tobin Bridge Relocation/Replacement

They aren't cost effective if you have to cut an entirely new ROW through there. By that I mean, via tunnel or viaduct. There is little room for redevelopment until you get to Northgate. Those numbers aren't daily riders, just simply people who live there. Not all of them will be taking the T.

    Tobin Bridge Relocation/Replacement

The curves of the highway make station location very tricky (if not impossible) for ADA platforms, limiting where transit can be effective. Not to mention, it's not like the highway was built to connect walkable areas. It's a terrible ROW for transit, period. Honestly, the longer I look at...

    Tobin Bridge Relocation/Replacement

After all these years, I've given up trying to imagine I've ever had a truly original idea. But a good idea somehow always keeps coming back. The issue with "Haymarket East-North End" station is that the Central Artery Tunnel is in the way: Now, the tunnel I'm proposing would have to pass...
