It's a sin they didn't keep the original facade. Its floor heights were identical to the new building so it would have fit in nicely, plus look a 1,000 times better.

Nice looking building. I wish there were not an absence of retail activity on the ground floor. Someone mentioned upthread that this lack may be due to potential flooding, for all the new developments in Everett in general?

Not as old as I am probably. But I just drove 7,000 miles these last 3-1/2 weeks with my wife clear across the US and back. My favorite city was Fargo ND. That sounds like a joke, but seriously it is a beautiful town; well laid out, and nice people. Sorry, but not many good photos of the trip.

It doesn't need to be rebranded. The stores and parking lot need to be totally raised and replaced with a whole new dense development of retail and mid-rise residential. No more half measures.

I typed in "Cambridge Massachusetts 1650" into Chatgpt, and the image below is what it produced. I did it because my ancestor (on my dad's side of the family) immigrated to Cambridge from England in 1640, and I was curious what the town may have looked like back then. The image looks plausible...
