South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

"mid." you're a top-level troll. i've been all over asia, south america, north america, and europe and -- trust me -- if you qualify the public garden as "mid," you are a troll with some odd agenda. enjoy that. the public garden is global-level gorgeous, regardless of season. that said, i...

Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

That stretch of Dartmouth absolutely needs to go, Boston needs to get much better at "plaza" design overall, and this whole most-recent refresh is taking laughably overlong. That said, it's not as if Copley Square -- when it's fully open/operational -- is an embarrassing disaster. Certainly...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Fair point. I meant more that, via movies and coverage of sports etc., people - whether they "care" about skyscrapers or not - see things like the Pru and Fenway, both of which are fairly distinctive, whereas Paul Revere's house is... a small, black house and the Public Garden is a garden. I...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

In terms of international recognition, I fully agree Fenway is there, but I promise you more people in Ireland and Spain (etc.) have an awareness of the Pru than they do Paul Revere's house or the Public Garden.

133 Federal Street sold - Rudolph building (not that Rudolph)

Living in the CBD is getting more and more appealing. Nowhere near a 24-hour city (yet), but there's a TON more going on past 5pm then there was just a decade ago.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Awful pix - sorry; far away and just with my ancient-ass phone — but the big point is the new lighting highlighting the “swoop” is so cool!

Midtown Hotel Redevelopment | 220 Huntington Avenue | Back Bay

As previously stated, I like the building and very much like that there's a central location for visiting friends of mine that's actually affordable and keeps more than 6 people from trying to crash in my tiny somerville condo.

    The New Retail Thread

Where are you going (or, maybe more appropriately, where *aren't* you going) that you come to this conclusion?

    "Dirty Old Boston"

Allston Square | 334 Cambridge street | Allston

If they can keep the facade of 10 Highgate and all these housing units I am so in favor of this. Full steam ahead!

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

    Damn! Wish I'd seen that.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Work there? Know someone who bought a place? Enquiring (nosy) minds want to know! (nice pix, btw)

    Parcel P-12 | 286-290 Tremont St | Chinatown

The original 28(?)-floor design was quite nice, too.

    Parcel P-12 | 286-290 Tremont St | Chinatown

That is truly a shame. Chinatown (and all of Boston, but in particular Chinatown) needs much more housing.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Well-put. And Boston could use a little more "flash" in my (subjective) opinion. Driving up from the South Coast last night on 93, the purple crown looked great.
