I think it’s just the remaining foundations from the prior buildings. The site hasn’t been active the past two weeks, except for removing the excavator used for demolition.
Cambridge Friends has been having some serious issues with enrollment and staffing. I’m not surprised that they are monetizing their property. The rest of the property may become available before too long.
The bags of soil they had been excavating were for a trichloroethylene plume. It was probably leftover from one of the industrial uses along the former canal.
I really want the curbs there to keep drivers from taking the right from Broadway westbound onto Warner. Nevermind the mopeds that YOLO their way through the circle.
The driveway from the on-ramp to Route 2 is there beyond the garage. It also has a bike path to the Russell Field head house plaza. I think the Hi-Rail access will be on the far side of the garage, crossing that bike path to the driveway.
They erected the parking garage over the winter. The middle has the pilings and foundations for another building. It will be weird if they open the parking and force tenants to navigate the stalled construction.
The OKS landlord has been very reticent about filling the retail spaces. They have kept it clean and generally covered the vacant windows, but it’s a dead zone.
