I wonder what, if anything, might come of a bunch of real estate that was "supposedly bought up by someone with ties to Trump" around the Alder Street, Homeless Services area.

I'm not against this proposal, but I'm still struggling to get behind the top. It's probably going to be dubbed the "Ugly Hat" building or some variation. And then be known as that for decades to come.

The Inn block itself would likely be attractive to Maine Med. They could always acquire the other housing buildings next to the church for additional space too. Also an IDEAL SPOT for a TRAFFIC CIRCLE

Are they trying to do some architectural salvage by the way they've cut things out? I'll bet someone would acquire the pillars, front windows, etc etc for salvage.
