One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Notice the common denominator to all three examples? Individual window frames - - - not uniform glass shields. Detail over uniformity. The individual window frame treatment HUMANIZES a building. It gives the viewer context instead of being a visual barrier. Like a psychological Table of...

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

I agree. Too much glass is 'anonymizing' (if there is such a word). Cities used to build buildings with interesting detail. Now, so much is just uniform glass shielding. That being said, this particular building's reno is an upgrade over what it was before.

Lyra (née The Huntington) | 252/258/264 Huntington Avenue | Fenway

??????? .....you're overlooking the massive lobby enlargement for the neighboring Huntington Theatre - - - I would venture to say that IS quite a big deal. ........... And unique. What an amazing donation to the arts. The irony is that I can't name any other new development in...

    Lynn Waterfront Redevelopment

. Great things are developing in Lynn. To paraphrase Wayne Gretzky, 'It's time the Blue Line extends to where the puck is GOING TO BE'. And........Just coincidentally ".......“The waterfront was always so blocked off that people didn’t even know what was down there,” said Tom McGee, a former...

Great Scott Redevelopment | 1 Harvard Ave | Allston

I'm sorry. It was not meant to offend. In looking at it again, I can definitely understand why it would have. It was thoughtless and insensitive. Again, my deepest apologies.

Great Scott Redevelopment | 1 Harvard Ave | Allston

I love this project and what it does, but looking at the render of the building, I wonder whether the render artist or the architect has advanced Parkinsons. I'd be interested to hear from them the reasoning for the disjointed shakiness of the wall lines. Just look at the penthouse level...

The Bond | 40 Soldiers Field Place | Brighton

Now THAT, right there, is a GREAT marketing video! (y) Well done to whatever firm put that together - - a little shorter on actual data/pics than a forumer would like - but I would venture to bet it the music gets the ear and the vid gets the eye of potential clients - - it's that last...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Why are you obsessed only with the "neighbors"????? Help me understand - Is the Franklin Park neighborhood the only people paying the public cost of the stadium? Are they going to be the only people going to the games? Don't all the citizens of Boston have a right to know the costs that THEY...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Who said it is "blowing up"?????? Way to put words in someone's mouth. My post was in response to the contention that it is "something zero neighbors talk about with strong opinions". If you can't see the difference between that and your hyperbole, I can't help you. My opinion is that this...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Duly noted. But the media is a business. The Globe wants clicks - - they don't concentrate on stamp collecting. 78 readers comments on the article within 24 hours disputes your opinion, as does 319 posts in this thread. But we'll see within the next two years what the outcome is. My money...
