Great photo of a handsome building. In its proper place, probably in a suburban setting somewhere, it would be okay. But its innate bizarreness, plus the plaza ripping a huge soulless hole in the heart of the city core, is an abomination, IMO.

That will be a very big "oops" if they flunk out on the approval.

Built just like the old public housing projects in the 1940s and 50s. These new units must be following the precedent set back then for public housing.

All the emergency lane has to be is a couple of stripes across the plaza, with the same paving materials as the plaza plus appropriate symbols and signing. Another way of handling emergency vehicles would be to have no emergency lane on the plaza, but instead make Exeter Street two-way.
