My take-away from the meeting was the MBTA made the classic blunder of making a decision and then trying to ram-rod it through the neighbors, instead of gathering neighborhood feedback and then "basing their design off of that". When you do the latter, you generally end up with the same design...

Every intersection in Cambridge has a No Turn on Red sign (assuming none have been removed/fallen off). More effective than these wordy signs would be either more arrows at intersections (green circles are pretty ambiguous for drivers) and/or these type of no right turn lighted signs...

I agree with y'all that its a shame to waste the existing value on that block, but I'm not sure the facades are where that value is. They're not ugly, but they're not gorgeous either... That said, yes to keeping the height if it goes forward, and uh, could we get a more daring design?

The minuteman ROW def makes the most sense from an urbanization point of view, but I wonder if an extension using part of the Rt 2 ROW is at all feasible or desirable. The big advantages are: From Lake Street and on, the ROW has extra capacity, enough for both the train and the construction...

That makes sense. Could you have one or more shuttles meet the train in Middleboro? They'd have to meet it at the Lakeville platform I assume. Ugh, I hope they don't make the Flyer a two-seat ride instead, which is entirely possible. It's slow enough as it is, and with all those people bringing...

Is the pace of OL deliveries slowing and RL deliveries increasing yet, or will that not be until the entire 152 OL are delivered? Are there new GL cars coming from the same manufacturer as well?

If Worcester had good transit, maybe more people would go there. If they could connect the CR to the airport, they could get a lot of Metro-West (affluent community who likely travel for work) to use their airport. Also the WooSox, and other affordable cultural stuff.

Interesting, I didn't find that when I scrolled to Boston. However, maybe you already know you can turn on a Transit layer on Google Maps? Same place as switching between map and satellite view.

Has the MBTA ever explored running the 57 bus down the GL ROW (would require paving along the tracks) as far as Packards Corner?
