    Proposed But Never Built

Not as good as what we ultimately got, but these aren't *awful*.

    Boston Skyline Photos

For all of the -- totally understandable -- critiques of "blue glass boxes" (and towers), having lived here my whole life I really appreciate the color variance in today's skyline. Growing up it was 90% browns/greys and today's skyline is way more vibrant. I'd love to see some vibrant green (Ah...

Boston to update its zoning code

"...for new buildings to tower up to 700 feet over the historic downtown..." It's truly funny how ass-backwards so many this city -- which I love, to be clear -- can be when compared to others. Would anyone in Chicago, NYC, San Fran, and pretty much every other American city with historic...

Was just there. Anything can be improved, but I really love the new SS.

    Hancock of the day...

The black band on the 58th floor (the tuned mass dampers floor) has been looking awfully shabby for a while now. Hopefully management/owners enact a refresh sooner than later.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

You can add light rail pretty much anywhere (not that it's great. I'm a Green Line rider...), so... why isn't it possible? Not being a dick -- I likely am missing some fundamental knowledge here.

Open Space | Turnpike Parcel 21 | Chinatown

Aside from stitching together the city by decking over that scar of a superhighway, it'd be nice to reclaim some land for the smallest Chinatown in any major U.S. city. The neighborhood punches well above its weight -- look on YouTube or do a search and there are plenty of folks (non locals) who...

    The New Residential Conversion Thread

Well, even w/o going into air rights stuff, this surface lot (and remaining ones in the downtown core) should be transformed into something -- anything -- else (other than lab space) immediately. Such a gratuitous misuse of badly needed real estate (obviously this could/should be housing). If...

    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

What a great project. My only (predictable) critique being that it ought to have been twice as many units (or more) and 2x as tall (or more). Perfect location for more housing -- and, specifically, more affordable housing.
