    315 Rindge Avenue | Cambridge

But it is right across the street from the Jefferson Park housing project, which is fairly high density, so that peripheral location may give it a pass with the NIMBYs.

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

It would have been better, IMO, to follow the yellow alignment (in ball_square's post), routing the path under McGrath Hwy instead of a surface crossing. Looking at the aerial photo there appears to be enough room to fit In a path alongside the railroad tracks.

    Congestion toll in Boston?

As I recall, the NYC congestion zone included an exemption for low income users, so that kind of provision would address the expense issue for LMA low income access

Cambridge has given final approval for a hotel on the Somerville line, which will also join two paths. From the article: "Behind the proposed building is where the final section of the yet-to-be-built Grand Junction path in Cambridge extends from Gold Star Mothers Park across O’Brien Highway...

Will the existing buildings be converted to housing?

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

I hate that the signs for all the shops & businesses are the same white font and size. It would liven up the blandness a bit to have actual logos and fonts of different colors and shapes for each business.

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

I dislike all the randomly placed mismatched facade areas, as well as the three-dimensional chaos of in-and-out shapes everywhere. One section is dark larger brick, other oddball sections are reddish brick, than another section is Hardi-Plank (?) siding. It basically looks like a sloppy pile of...

Skylines and Developments of the US/World

I love Chicago; the night life, the music, the elevated rail, all the high rise residential towers. It seems like a real city, the "city of the big shoulders" as Carl Sandburg so aptly described it!

Biogen Global HQ | 75 Broadway | Kendall Common (née Volpe parcels) | Kendall Square

This building will turn out much better looking than the renders, based on what's been built so far (see photo below). Far richer colors than the renders.

There was a sale on awnings at Home Depot that weekend.

    That would be outstanding.

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

It probably is a public right-of-way, but ceding a portion of a public roadway right-of-way to a private owner is done every day, and it is a fairly clean procedure. Of course, this being the North End in Boston could interject NIMBY and political dynamics into it, but normally ceding a...

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

What continues to confound me is why any new development on this site would perpetuate this overly wide parking lot/plaza. The new North End Piazza building should have had a much larger footprint that covered the parking lot/plaza, and left, say, a 15' wide sidewalk for outdoor dining...

Wonderland Ballroom Redevelopment | 1290 Northshore Road | Revere

Not too crazy about the solid blank wall along the street level ^. It would've been nice to have some shops included along the sidewalk.

Residential Building | 75 First Street | Cambridge

It's not outstandingly great, but it looks pretty good compared to some of the apartment buildings going up these days. What about it do you find ugly?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Everyone who sees it will wonder, what is PrograMM?

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

Actually, if the new building were this colorful, it might not look so bad. Generally I don't like multi-colored panels, but in this case the building is so bad, it might be an improvement.

This is a great neighborhood; close access to Harvard Square, Central Square, the Charles River, and some very nice old neighborhoods all around. Mass Ave along there has some nice restaurants and bars. The Cantab Lounge is an old family favorite.
