Kenmore Square North | 533 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

how do you notice any of details of the new building with the hulking / hideous Citgo sign overshadowing the building? Yeah .. I know, it's blasphemy to say anything condescending about the sign. whatever, I said it anyway.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I don't know what's more intriguing, watching the progress of constructing the new building or the slow, methodical dismantling of the garage.

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

yeah ... I stand corrected. But the point I was trying to make is that average attendance is will below 10K (Pawsox at ~5K) so building a stadium to hold 12K or more makes little sense. As mentioned, I would expect Worcester to do quite well the first couple of seasons with potential sellouts...

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

The average attendance of minor league baseball is just north of 4000. The national attendance trend is slowly declining. See graph. I suspect that Worcester will buck the trend because of the novelty of having a new team and ballpark (pandemic not withstanding) for a year or two but...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

The core looks as big as the new residential tower on Causeway St.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

From that vantage point, it will be interesting to see how well the new reflective glass will blend with the other buildings.

WBZ-TV/CBS Studio Development Project | 1170-2000 Soldiers Field Road | Allston

It kind of odd that a cowboy, in full garb, was a hit show in Boston. (Before my time)

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

Significant in what ways? Which architectural awards has been bestowed upon this building? Educate the forum if you don't mind.

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

Could they accidentally raze the hideous JFK federal building during the plaza revamp? That building sucks.

    Worcester Infill and Small Developments

    > Pity for the folks in Greendale, Burncoat and beyond. Why? That area would be horrible for apartments or mixed-use. It's surrounded by rail / highways. It's also very noisy. I think the warehouse option is perfect.

    Worcester Kelley Square

Well stated. That exactly how I felt when driving through, eh, crawling through, the previous incarnation.

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Based on the rendering (post 818), I think that will be the final crane jump.

    Worcester Kelley Square

Do we now call this Kelley Peanut? Anyway, what an amazing transformation compared to what was a major cluster muck.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Looking at the site rendering again, I see that a significant portion of the parking garage will be razed and Merrimac Street will be exposed. In short, I suspect the streetscape should be significantly better, in the long run.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I'm going to reserve judgement on this one. I am very enthused about the rendering but not sure how well this will fit in the immediate area. It may overwhelm the relatively small footprint and tight space. Will there be any meaningful streetscape?

    COVID-19 in Boston

Yeah, it's hardly a novel concept. European culture seems to promote it. Visit Montreal, outdoor dining for many of the restaurants in the inner city is the norm.

    Worcester Ballpark & Redev

The accelerated speed of the video clips are ridiculous, best slow the speed down via settings. Anyway, it does show impressive progress with the ballpark and some internal shots of the concourse, building, etc. Their web site has lots of recent photos.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

This is an extremely interesting infrastructure project with many civil engineering challenges. Kudos to all the regular contributors to this thread keeping us up to date. The photo's showing the progress has been most appreciated and educational.
