Vero Apartments | 284 Everett Ave | Chelsea

How many new residents will live in a 1 mile radius of this spot? with all the new units, must be going to approach 1000 or more.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I was in Moynihan Train Hall last week and was blown away. It is amazing - to retrofit a post office warehouse and turn it into a dramatic train hall. The main hall with the soaring open ceiling and skylights was a wonderful homage to the old Penn and the floor with the sleek staircases that...

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Am I wrong or does it look like it hasn't moved much over that past week or so?

"The Garage" | 36 JFK Street | Harvard Square | Cambridge

I agree, @Charlie_mta My dad was a Cantabridgian, and I used to hear all about the lament of the Hayes Bickford and Howard Johnson cafeterias being replaced and this is gone and that is not just isn't the same, etc., etc.. This was in the 80's, long before a lot of the stores...

Red Sox Mixed-Use Development | Fenway

When I looked at the aerial view, what I like most is that this development connects the new Fenway/Pike parcels which connects Fenway and Kenmore a little more directly. The Pike always felt like a massive gulf the cut off the vibrancy of Kenmore and created a relative sleepy Fenway Park area...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

2 things. 1. There are so many projects going on, I almost forget how amazing this project is, how transformative it is for the area as well as its scale. 2. While there is often lament on the loss of the West End, etc., so few cities are building a raft of modern 400+, 500+ foot towers just...

Red Sox Mixed-Use Development | Fenway

I hope the building they are proposing will be called "The Avalon", "The Axis" or the "The Venus" in an homage to the places where I splashed the cash on Bacardi & Cokes in plastic cups and tossed around cheap pickup lines with reckless abandon.

kz does San Diego and LA

Awesome!!! So glad you got the Harbor Club. Makes me want to listen to some smooth jazz, wear linen pants and eat pasta salad. Those La Jolla photos were fantastic, too.

    Boston College Master Plan

The BC modern gothic whatever is really bizarre. Why don't they just cut the cord and build modern stuff. The old quad with Gasson & Fulton Hall, etc. is fantastic. No reason why this weirdness has to spread all over. Imagine how the ISEC at NU would look nestled in along with all that old...

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Wow, they are finally setting up the forms to pour an above-ground floor! How many years did it take to get to this point?

XMBLY | 5 Middlesex Avenue | Assembly SQ | Somerville

I just noticed in the middle of all those pics that they are hand-laying the brick. Kudos to them. How much more does that cost vs. precast panels?

More like does the JDC webmaster know about this.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Nice! I lived in La Jolla for a while. LJ is almost perfect. Finish work for the day, head to the center of town along Prospect and the restaurants overlooking the ocean on Girard - beer or a wine and watch the sunset. That June gloom is no joke, neither is the temperature change as you move...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I sunk an unreasonable amount of time on that skyscraper page. Although #1 and #2 are from the 70's and 60's respectively, #3-6 are new buildings (fingers crossed on SST) and #9 is the new State Street HQ. It is good to see that although we moan about no new "tallest in Boston" coming through...

The Robinson | 656 Ocean Ave | Revere

Looks great. The negative Nancy in my says that grey brick is going to come out more of a wet sidewalk color and those white panels will be gleaming white like an ol' Styrofoam cooler. Love the street-level retail. Would we fantastic to have a beach front dining scene there.

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

A bit off-topic, but how did IP go bankrupt? Was it due to the recession after the dot-com bubble? Too much high expensive debt? Seems like a top-shelf building in the middle of a high rent, low vacancy, etc. area.

    Greystar | 35 Garvey Street | Everett

I am impressed that Everett is so pro-development and keeps things moving. I will say, however, that this area looks like Cartaret, NJ with those oil tanks in the background.

Where in Melrose can you get a vantage point like that?

Parcel 12 | Massachusetts Avenue at Boylston Street | Back Bay

That garage on the north side, facing the Pike is a terrible eyesore. Also, I noticed a Room & Board on MA Ave. If you guys ever make it to Minneapolis, I recommend checking out the Room&Board outlet. It is a spectacular event.

Something about that last image that makes those pedestrians look like photoshopped fake people in renderings.
