Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

One other thing: it may look suburban, but right now New England Cancer Specialists is in a largely windowless interior section of a former Kmart, so this should be wonderful for them and their patients.

Did you hack my hard drive? I was going to make a similar post ( albeit with not so comprehensive a set of screenshots). I found it interesting that no one on the planning board even asked about whether the construction schedule would preclude concerts in 2022. My hunch is that with the short...

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Per the proposal, yes; the proposal includes suggestions for moving the track off-peninsula, either to Payson Park or Dougherty Field.

    Brunswick Development

Yeah, I'm thinking you get off your NetJet, your help have already gotten the Lambo out of the unit and ready to go, right on the tarmac, and you head straight on up to your place on Penobscot Bay or the Midcoast.

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Actually build the Midtown garage on Somerset we promised the Feds? If that's not totally bound up in the Federated lawsuit it could be a possibility. Ocean Gateway garage was underutilized for years until the neighborhood exploded.

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

From the presentation itself, the seating requirements for League One are 3500+ seats, and another bit seems to indicate they're looking at no more than 6000. Reading the "New Soccer Stadium for Boston" thread, there seems to be a consensus that these teams are better off playing in a full...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I wonder if they'll convert them into standard AMC theaters, or if they'll run them as a separate premium chain and leverage the amenities the buildings already have. (I also wonder if they might go for the Cinemagic theaters, since those are also sitting dark. ) Did Arclight really bank on...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Good to see signage up for the Hub Hall. Any word on a new operator for the former Arclight theater?

Canopy Portland Waterfront | 1 Center Street | Portland

Perhaps unsurprising seeing as they're creating that deck, but it was just completely redone (and expanded) during the renovations that created the Westin. I wouldn't think they'd need to do that much to it.

We've mentioned potential meetups for the archBostonPortland group; are folks interested yet or still staying sheltered?

Maine Medical Center Expansion | Portland

It dawned on me that their "new front door" building screams modernity, high tech, etc.... quite the contrast to the uphill campus with its mix of brick-faced Modernism, brick-faced PoMo, and "didn't I see that building on Ghost Hunters?" I went by there yesterday and saw some signs taped to...

Thanks. The issue essentially went away slowly after I posted, but I appreciate your reply!

I don't know how much revenue a school can get in D III and the UMS (not a typo) Board of Trustees will never allow a change to D-I; Orono calls most of the shots with them. (Basic truths of Maine politics: the few urban areas of the state are greatly outnumbered population-wise by the rural...

    Tracy-Causer Block-MEMIC

Is something happening with the Tracy-Causer block? I know that when it was in the condition in the photo and the owners wanted to tear it down Landmarks went ballistic. It's not actually a survivor of the 1866 fire, but it was one of the few replacement buildings built in that style which was...

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

To some extent I would hate to see that. Let Westbrook remain the locals' blue-collar alternative for those who are disinterested in what the peninsula has to offer.

Time & Temp Building | Parking Garage Redevelopment | Portland

So, we've gone from 1 top-floor bar (the Top of the East) for the past 50 years to how many rooftop bars in development? Is the Top of the East outdoor section open yet?

Good luck! (And allow me to say that I personally really appreciate your and your team's engagement and openness on this forum!)

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

Do you mean the small spots next to The Paper Store, or the big space on the Larrabee Road side? The latter is where REI is probably going (they were leaked as part of Phase 1 some time ago).
  19. M

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME has been updated along with the official announcement that REI is coming (presumably, as planned, in the spot alongside Market Basket). The latest version of the site plan (same as from earlier except with slightly different labels): They also are coming before the June 1 meeting...

Incidentally, there is an official memorial to George Cleeve and his partner Richard Tucker; it's the obelisk on the Eastern Prom at the beginning of Congress St.
