The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The photos of the Star give me a similar vibe to the Marks and Spencer we visited in Edinburgh a few years back. Very European and I like it.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Meanwhile, inside the Garden: It looks nice enough, definitely more modern, although I immediately got Pittsburgh vibes out of it. And I guess that's where my gripe is, it looks nicer but by the same token the gold seats were a nice...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

That looks awesome. Not a place I'd frequent, but awesome nonetheless. Really like the faux-Old Garden façade.

Kenmore Square North | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

Aw man, that old Rusty Wallace billboard that was so non-sequitur is gone now, too. Fun while it lasted.

    Worcester Infill and Small Developments

There's definitely too many Catholic churches in that immediate vicinity. Mt. Carmel is within walking distance of St. John's, Holy Family and St. Stephen's (the latter 2 of which are literally across the street from each other and are now the same parish). In a different era, they served...

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

Didn't get a photo but was in Southie on Sunday and was shocked to see the former Woods School of Dance on H and E. 7th demoed out. No idea of what's going in instead. Gonna miss that Van Halen graffiti.

    XenForo Update

So far so good. If this posts the new forum has solved some other issues I was having with the old layout.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

My only problem with the T's website is the algorithm for determining routes. It will route you to a direct transfer even if there is a quicker transfer with a short walk in between, Not usually a big deal, but when the CR is running late and I need to figure out whether the 39 or the GL would...

    Unbuilt roads around metro Boston

I actually have an earnest desire to learn more about the Boston Bypass and how serious that guy actually was. I remember seeing the yellow signs saying "Back the BB" around when I was very young, and when my dad explained what they stood for, even at that age I thought it was nuts.

    archBOSTON Update: A New Dawn

Well I'm trying Edge today, so we'll see how that goes. So far, no issues, other than the T's anemic wifi.

    archBOSTON Update: A New Dawn

So Chrome has now crashed twice while I've been trying to post how the ads are now crashing Chrome on my super-cheap commuter laptop. Totally understand the need to fund, and I wouldn't take them off on account of my complaining, but it has been a definitive negative experience on my visiting...

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

Wow, the construction is really the only way you can tell those last 2 photos weren't taken in 1992.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

That looks absolutely terrifying. The Garden's balcony already makes me think I'm going to tumble off into the loge, I can't imagine how much more unsettling that view is going to be.

    Ode to Brutalism

The experience is as important as the aesthetics. When my mother used to have to drag me to City Hall for whatever reason as a kid, the size and maze-like qualities were fascinating, not to mention the dark atmosphere. I just wanted to explore it, even if, in reality, there's nothing too...

    Martin's Park | Children's Wharf | Fort Point

I don't think too many children would think this park is overdesigned. Looks like a fun place for a 6 year old to explore.

Flickr Finds & Social Media Pics

Just spent the last 20 minutes identifying signatures. That's an heirloom to get framed and protect, so many good names on that, a few who sadly aren't with us anymore.

    The New Retail Thread

It's a veterinarian office, but they only see those Boston Dynamics robot dogs.
