The Brookliner | 5 Washington Street | Brighton

Nobody loves the CVS at the Brookliner as much as this guy

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

I think that was very well put and extremely accurate

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

I have a source who says it should be resuming this month. There were issues with deck steel girders which stalled it for a bit. BHH was just speculating

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

The developer just defaulted, so I don't think that project is moving forward

What is this, a city for ants?

It wasn't a personal attack, just an opinion towards those types of pictures as a whole. Maybe there could be a thread for skyline shots unless there's one already

What is this, a city for ants?

I personally get disappointed when I see a thread has a new post and then find out it's some blurry zoomed in shot from 25 miles away. But that's just me

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I would be more optimistic than that. The concrete substructure will likely get clad with the finished rendering arch sweeps (more curved) similar to the column at Winthrop Tower that they just installed (and then removed for some reason). Check out that thread and you might agree

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

You can tell it's going to be growing further towards the street (out of your computer screen) because the last steel beam in that truss has tabs pointing towards the street. Just an FYI in general for looking at steel under construction

MXD Residential Tower | 121 Broadway | Kendall Square

Amazing how quickly and safely it can go when you aren't on top of multiple subway tunnels...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I would imagine those are just erection beams and will come down once the main steel is structurally acceptable to stand on its own. Tubes are way too small to be permanent I think

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Not true, it started closer to beginning of 2021 with enabling work for the demo

    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

There is actually still a core it's just made out of steel if you look closely at the cross bracing running in the middle. Some go this route for various reasons - the hub on causeway office tower did it because it's much lighter than concrete and was going on top of the existing podium that was...

Eli Lilly IGM | 15 Necco Street | Fort Point

I would imagine it's due to the large cantilever and also the fact that this site probably has high wind loads - cores provide significant lateral support for the rest of the structure. Just a guess though

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Yes it's going to be closed for months, I would assume starting around May

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

The process is to actually take each precast concrete piece down, then break it apart and smash it to pieces on the ground, then haul it away

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

No but there are plans being currently being bid out at the triangular site at Causeway and N Washington...not filed yet with BPDA so likely years out but it's ~40 stories
