New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Yes keeping part of the main building and remodeling it and repurposing it I can see, but keeping any of the smokestacks just adds nothing to the skyline imo. To incorporate one or two into the stadium itself as a nod, I guess maybe if done right...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

"Look ma! Here's me on the top of a smokestack where toxic fumes used to come out of!"

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Ok well who knew there were people who felt passionately about keeping this ugly Lowell-from-the-1800s-looking eyesore around. I get the sarcasm here, and no one has proposed "office park architecture" here but rather a stadium which will a million percent get used FAR more than "a few dozen...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Ugh god please no! They look so out of place and antiquated with all of the new, modern development going up around it. When they're out in a suburban setting, fine, but they are eyesore here. With expensive hotel rooms around, who wants a view staring out at smokestacks?? I used to wonder, 20...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

If only they could do this at the smaller triangular parcels by the Hynes off Boylston. Man those 2 parcels drive me nuts being open like that. How there hasn't been a developer that would just combine that with the garage that Kings/Bukowski is in and put a new city's tallest there is beyond me.

Sale finalized; future development of Exxon tank farm in Everett can proceed

Because according to the other postings about that site it's not happening anymore. Of course that site is much better, but if can't get approval there for various reasons, maybe this could be an alternative.

Sale finalized; future development of Exxon tank farm in Everett can proceed

Could Kraft move the potential Revs stadium to this plot instead of the other (much nicer, waterfront) plot?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

When does construction continue on the top, narrower half? Seems like it's been at this level for awhile now.

"all tolled"- I like that! Quite punny!

One Mystic | 1 Mystic Avenue | Charlestown

At no time day or night are there so few cars on 93 as depicted in these renders. Oh how heavenly that would make all of our commutes!

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

That already exists right next door to this!

Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

That seems like an awful lot of parking that they're keeping in the interior of the existing garage for a building so walkable to multiple T stations. I understand the layout would make it difficult to have interior apartments with outside windows, but there are some sides that have parking...

    Boynton Yards | 99-101 South/808 Windsor | Somerville

I was riding my bike by there last week when it was warm and I was thinking how cool it would be if they redeveloped that Target and its huge parking lot into a large combo residential tower with a new multi-level Target, keeping all the same retail space, as well as an incorporated parking...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I guess, not surprisingly, I'm not the only car nerd on here. Makes sense that architecture nerd goes hand-in-hand with car nerd! Even though I work in neither industry, they're both equally my side pleasures and always felt I should've pursued a career path in one of them. Oh well, in another...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Not to state the obvious here, but the restaurants, like the housing, charge what they do because there are so many people here willing to pay it, even if they complain about it. The housing prices are ridiculous, of course, but hopefully as more of these developments get built and come online...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

You're hanging at the wrong places if last call is 1:15 and out the door at 1:45. Not that I'm out that late often, but I was at a bar in Somerville a few weekends ago and ordered a drink at like 1:58 and they didn't push people out til 2:30. Many gay places are the same, if that's your thing...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I don't find Boston boring at all. What is lacking here that's in other big cities? Tons of world-class restaurants, bars, museums, beaches, outdoor activities, sports and concert venues, theaters, even a big casino... I'd say there is far more than most big cities- even NYC and LA don't have a...

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Very true. I remember when it first opened I had hopes of it being somewhat classy, with all the different whiskeys and great beer selection, and that lasted all of 6 months before devolving into a post-college douchefest. There was Seaport Bar & Grill which was geriatric but at times fun for...

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

This would be great, but why is it being posted in the Congress St Garage post when this is around the corner and down the street?
