Ive always thought these apartments in CX are the single ugliest design of any building in the greater boston area. Something about that facade makes me cringe.

Yeah I wasn't able to do it justice with my pics, but it's very cool. And there are lights that will shine vertically down each column some of which aren't lit yet. It's going to be a real statement when it's complete.

I'm guessing its because all the wire and pipes they need access to to finish the bridge would be covered by those final pieces of white paneling. As of now all the wiring is visible, so it seems reasonable that they will cap it off last.

What's the big concrete core going up by the Snowport going to be? Sorry if this has already been covered. Looks like a big building on the rise.

To me it looks indistinguishable from the renders. More importantly, its great for people like me who have to cross the bridge every day. But I'm still heartbroken it's not up to your expectations.

Ya the steel frame is all the way to where it ends by the converse building. They are finishing the rods that point outwards from the frame (no idea what these things are actually called). I think this bridge is close to being finished. There's been a ton of progress lately.

I also like it. When you're in the Sullivan square area all you see is the top half and the way the facade changes as you move is cool. The original render was great. The smaller buildings in the front really added depth.

I feel the same. It's an anticlimax to the whole project. There are a few buildings in seaport I'd love to copy and paste into that spot. Then some gardens, walkways. Something like the St. Regis would be nice.

I agree. Right now they're in stark contrast to their surroundings. The new, smaller version of the Sudbury that's planned should help. Even the ugly proposed lab would provide some relief. I'd love to see a few mid size buildings and lots of green space.

That's a shame because it looks like absolute shit, and parking can go underground, like it did with a similar garage for the Alcott. To ascribe any sort of historical significance to this thing is a mistake.

Agree. Especially since there's a giant parking garage right across the street that is begging to be moved underground and redeveloped. This thing is on a huge piece of land and I have no idea why it's still standing.
