    "Dirty Old Boston"

I know it wasn't in Boston Proper.......but saw this this morning in the Globe and I just had to bring it here - - - - so many of us of a certain age knew THIS guy's work well before learning about Picasso, Rembrandt, etc. Just a joyous thing and a business plan from a different age that really...

You’re entitled your own opinion on that. Believe it or not, they had unions all the way back in the old days when he was Mayor too. Somehow shit got done. Walsh knew how to work with them.

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

"....The Haymarket bus terminal has been closed since June 2021..... "HYM would not comment to Axios about when the project is expected to be completed. In planning documents filed with the city, HYM said they would construct a new MBTA bus station with coverings, transit schedule screens and...

Bunker Hill Housing Redevelopment | Charlestown

You're right. The construction costs (for many reasons) are getting to a point where it does not make economic sense anymore. Something's gotta give.

Chestnut Hill Infill and Small Developments

No argument - - there would need to be a lot of pedestrian, bike and bus infrastructure changes. I am NOT advocating for more parking. The traffic from 1+ space per unit would choke the area. I'm not sold on this particular location being a great idea for this massive new development WITHOUT...

Chestnut Hill Infill and Small Developments

Ditch the useless median - definitely. But the trucks for supplies/maintenance etc will still be a huge add to the traffic there. This isn’t one medium sized building - this is a massive multi-building project at a current choke point. Anyone who thinks more than 20% of the folks in that new...

Chestnut Hill Infill and Small Developments

Absolutely. 100% agree. But this massive development, with those new 12-14 story buildings, would most certainly result in additional car/truck congestion in this bottleneck. Simply wishing that that amount of additional development won't further choke it isn't reality. Creative solutions...

Chestnut Hill Infill and Small Developments

I hear ya about the de-highwayizing and the slip ramps, but Rte 9 there is still a terrible choke point. And it will only grow - especially with that new development possibilty- Charlie's added level theory would work here (if only the financials did too). Something creative is required there...
