    Logan Airport Capital Projects

If the A-B Connector continued to B38 it would cut off a decent distance.

It looks like AA isn't doing the OMA flights this year like they did last year.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

T-100 Data is out for the full year of 2023. I cleaned it up for the below topics. JetBlue just barely retained the top spot in number of passengers from Delta: By the end of the year, Delta had overtaken JetBlue in monthly passengers, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them take the top spot...

Is my memory failing me or is this the contract PenAir used to hold?

    Green Line Reconfiguration

I think you have to at least study going back to Watertown instead of terminating at Oak Square. The challenge is just getting across Newton Corner and the Pike. The rest is fairly easy. The whole corridor is worthy of BRT or LRT service. Watertown also comes with a yard unlike Oak Square. In...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Will GLPTS bring more lenient operating rules (for example, allowing two trains to berth on the same platform again) or will it be so strict as to slow the whole thing down even more?

BOG-BOS is daily. BOS-BOG isn't, technically. Sunday/Wednesday/Friday there is are departures at 00:15 and 15:45. On Tuesday there is only the 15:45 flight operates.

I'm a little surprised it's QR going beyond daily before EK.

"5 over 1" Is it stories or fire code?

I think it started with the Fire Code definition. Many early examples only had three wood-framed stories over the podium and today four wood-framed stories remains extremely common.

    Post-Covid Travel Patterns and Solutions

When you look at 2023 ridership by weekday you can definitely see the impact of people working from home on Monday and Friday.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

It's interesting that AC, B6, and DL all don't think BOS-YVR can work year-round considering the 223 seems like the perfect equipment for the route. AC and DL obviously would rather push traffic over their hubs, but B6 flies JFK-YVR daily with a 223.

WFO/WFH Trends among aB community in 2024

I currently WFH 5 days a week. In the past 10 years I have also had jobs I drove to 5 days/week and jobs I took MBTA to 5 days/week.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Historically, lifting speed restrictions has taken a few days after the work was actually performed. It seems over the last year they've changed that practice to extend the closures so that they're re-opening without restrictions still in place. Just because the restriction is still there...

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

Have there been more details on how the PoP system will work? I don't see how a PoP system can work when fares aren't required when boarding SL1 at Logan and they frequently deactivate fare gates during construction to prevent people from having to pay two fares (right now the fare gates are...

    Post-Covid Travel Patterns and Solutions

I think it's a big problem in an environment where we're not meaningfully building more housing inside 128 or transit services. It shouldn't be, but it is. There's nothing wrong with WFH, but I think it's a problem when a growing share of the limited housing we do have close to transit services...

    Green Line Reconfiguration

To lengthen the platform at Cleveland Circle the Ayr Road crossing should be closed. If you're doing A-branch reactivation, extending the C to Lake Street is probably a more reasonable pitch, especially if there would be reduced frequencies west of Packards Corner. Reconfiguring Reservoir...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

Is the idea that they would take out the concrete where the cruiser is parked in this Streetview and move the Chelsea St bound traffic to there?

Tangentially related, but does anyone know the purpose of this track? I've neve seen it used for anything.
