Herald Square | 385 Congress St | Portland

I really don't understand why top of the Old Port parking is still there. Especially with the whole shift of workers. That is prime real estate and could make a huge impact on Portland with the right project. I keep hoping for a convention center as well.

    Portland Passenger Rail

Almost car free here. As a couple, we have just one car which is mostly needed for work. So I am at 0.5 cars. I drive it maybe once a week.

I just hope something happens to save this building (and the Time and Temp building). It's getting grim on Congress Street.

165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

This doesn't look like a building that needed an architect from the Pacific Northwest to design. Rather disappointing really. It has the opportunity to be a gateway project to the Wash Ave corridor. Instead, it's vanilla.

165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

A local firm, SMRT, just completed the second largest university PassiveHaus project in the country at USM. We have a lot of great talent in Portland. Let's keep the money local and support our own!

165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you hired architects from the Pacific Northwest instead of local?

    General Portland Discussion

What articles and stories are not making clear is that the massive sewer separation project will need to move to Franklin within the next few years. The trees will need to come out anyway. And while they are doing the project is the best time to be rethinking how to rebuild it.

Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

These new renderings convey to me a schizophrenic approach. It’s not cohesive. It’s ugly. It lacks vision. The project is really going downhill aesthetically. Such a. Great opportunity and it is being squandered.

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

You placed the building directly onto the parking lot for MAC air and General Aviation actually. I know. I park there. It’s labeled as yellow bird rd but there is parking at the end.

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

This project is taking FOREVER!!!!! Why so slow? I see it on a regular basis and progress is hard to detect!

That’s the general aviation parking area and also the MAC air space. It probably wouldn’t go there if I had to guess. Also, the building you drew would be very small to be Any sort of warehouse.

Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

They really need to update the renderings given how much they have deviated from the plan already. Starting to feel like a bait and switch.

Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

It doesn’t look better in person. Big monolith. I am curious what is going behind it on the Fore Street Side tho. I recall there being housing there, but I am not finding a plan anywhere. Does anyone have the approved plan?

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I didn’t realize he had passed away until that article either. I worked with him on a project years ago and then lost touch. Sad to hear.
