West Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

I've walked though these neighborhoods with my father, who's pointed out the area where the old rail line used to run (extant, but unused), and has since been built over with SFH. While I also bemoan the loss of the ROW, what's done is done, and I don't believe a short path here would have added...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I think the lack of crowns downtown is pretty obvious... it's because of the FAA limitations due to Logan being right next door. Might as well maximize the height you can get with space that can actually be used. Maybe this argument holds weight in Back Bay, but not here.

The view of the Fed from here was just of its side though? Is that really much of a loss?

    Biking in Boston

It's been funny seeing all the Bill Macgregor (and one Robert Orthman one, oddly enough) campaign signs go down, replaced with the Save Center Street ones. They've got the gall to say something like "Save Center, Safe Center". Also, for the opposition meeting, they're going to ID people. I live...

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

I think the first two stations are in play, as the City of Nashua itself would like to see this go through. Still not nearly as likely without NH state support.

That gradually increasing linear lighting on the side is really nice.

I think airport offices? Perhaps replacing some that were in the tower that was demo'd for the C-B connector.

Maybe the plans have since changed, but from what I recall that big "specialty retail" area is not only a new security checkpoint, it's supposed to replace the current one.

Don't remember a nonfunctional recline, and I'm not all that large, so I thought the seat itself was comfortable enough. I was in the first seat of the row, so there was a bulkhead right in front of me. Prevented me from stretching out my legs under a seat in front of me, but that's not really...

Looks to me like they were VE'd for the time being, I think you can see the concrete podium for the jetbridge that's been VE'd. Hard to tell if it's that though

The fuel burn advantage of the 748 will be better felt on longer routes, which is why you can see the 748 prioritized on LH's longer routes (Tokyo, Sao Paulo, etc). I guess that doesn't really explain why we ever saw the 748 at all, while the 744's were still around. I'll take it though, managed...

Terminal E is really quiet in the morning, doesn't surprise me that there were few options open. Like your SFO experience, if you were at the terminal that late at night, it would have been just as busy.

Josiah Quincy Upper School | 900 Washington Street | Chinatown

I guess it's a case-by-case thing, because I know my father and I use the brakes way less in an electric car than in an ICE. I guess if I was in some wildly variable traffic on the highway, I'd use the brakes... about as often as I would in an ICE vehicle. But on standard, 40mph or less streets...

Break pad particulates at least should be reduced by regenerative breaking that electric vehicles all have, as I find that traditional brakes are barely used when there's regenerative breaking.

Because they originally planned to have 2? That was my initial point, they've since cut the second one since there's no second doorways for the other jetbridge. Then again, now that I'm looking at it, the E12 jetbridge config in the render is completely off, so these probably aren't the most...

If you look at massport supplied renders, it shows the second jetways coming from the front, silver part of the structure (the "stem"). Moreover, Vegas style split jetways geometrically don't make sense here. In Vegas, the "stem" comes straight out of the terminal building, while here, the...
