    Gillette leaving Southie.

Gosh what I would do to require developers to make winter mockups in addition to summer ones. I feel like it would result in some creativity for winter uses. Maybe some evergreens, maybe a small cafe stall or a winter holiday market would make me more excited for these rather than roll my eyes...

    Biking in Boston

Wow these images really show how little work has been done in West Brookline for biking. Newton St should definitely be targeted next. @bigeman312's Street A/Street B concept could definitely work for Heath Street as an Alternative to Route 9. I would be surprised to see Route 9 have bike...

    Biking in Boston

Tangentially related, but there really needs to be BlueBike docks at Brookline Reservoir Park, Jamaica Pond, and even Lars Anderson. But then we'll have to start the discussion about bike accommodations on Clyde/Lee Street which is a whole other can of worms.

    Biking in Boston

What is the Street B in this actual case? Fisher Ave would not be a realistic option with the elevation gain, Elliot St is totally out of the way. I totally agree that there should be car-centric streets working in tandem with cycling/micromobility-centric streets, but there aren't the options...

    NYC Architecture and Development

Same here, it's starting to look good. On sleepy amtrak rides it has me questioning "wait didn't we go through stamford already?"

    Site Issues

Happened to me a couple of times. Seems there's a problem with the "keep me logged in" cookie, as when I've fixed the problem and log back in, I'm thrown back into being forbidden. I've fixed it by wiping my cookies, and when that doesn't work, opting to not stay logged in.

    New Bedford Developments

what current destinations are offered at EWB? I see vineyard and nantucket on their website, and the Wikipedia page says there is JFK and Boston but I can't see proof of it.

    Wind Turbines in Mass

I feel like all of this news is about a lemon of a turbine, and that's ok with me.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Which other transit apps do people use? I know a lot of people who recommended Transit, esp for Boston. I normally use CityMapper, but it works best in NYC.

    2025 Boston Mayoral Race

Get mad at Ed Flynn for those property taxes, not Wu. Such bad faith from the Globe.

    2025 Boston Mayoral Race

This is honestly really confusing/surprising to me. The Kraft family must be working with the BOS NATION FC (or whatever they're going to call themselves) leadership, and must have at least heard of this from his dad or brother. It's a bit concerning that the son of a professional soccer team...

    General Infrastructure

Growing up downtown, my family had a car and used it frequently to get around (I know). Taking the Red Line to Harvard Square or the Green Line to Fenway was always a special treat to me.

    Biking in Boston

I'm sure Kraft, John Henry, and the rest of the sports owners have at least a group chat... I'm kind of expecting more fluff pieces on topics Josh Kraft is focusing his candidacy on.

    Biking in Boston

I think his strategy seems to be targeting donations first. Even if Newton, Brookline, etc can't vote for Boston Mayor, they can donate money to who they want. Or create an anti-Wu PAC. Honestly I'm waiting to see if he brings up Wu's purported anti-Italian discrimination... would show which...

    Local Politics Thread

Yeah I think the Kraft family's long history of supporting Republican politicians will add something interesting to this race. I feel like a lot of his family's pull would work better at the state level; I think people who vote in Boston might think differently about a Foxboro Prince...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Ok, I was thinking about this earlier. Let's say Brightline sees success in California/Nevada and further success in Florida, and decides it wants to compete with Amtrak on their own rails. Is it possible?
