Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

A few years ago they admitted that the reason the existing trees kept dying is they didn't have room for the root systems, so they wouldn't replant any trees until a full park reno. Now I'm curious how those 'saved' trees will survive unless they're doing work next to them to help the root...

Weird they are saving those crappy trees. They aren't on the plans. Maybe move them as part of the reno?

    Kendall/MIT Infill and Small Developments

Came to post the same - you beat me to it. Looks like the 'same' staircase as now but no switchback any more. Curious what kind of entrance is on the other side - the station almost looks hidden compared to the new Southbound headhouse.

MXD Residential Tower | 121 Broadway | Kendall Square

No photos today - phone was acting up. But demo from Binny is almost at the mid-point, and they presently started demo from the Broadway side, so I'd say 2 weeks and we're done...

Funny how this leaves out an existing residential building and has a Druker building on land he does not own (closest to the highway)

Letter of Intent for the back half of Druker's "80EB Complex" at 1033-1055 Washington. not sure if we need a new thread for these buildings or if we'll attach them to the 80EB thread.

    EB80 | 80 East Berkeley | South End

Wow - no updates here in a while. 1) The site of literal 80EB is now blocked off with jersey barriers. They have been doing soil tests for about a month now, so can only assume something to happen soon. 2) Letter of intent filed with BPDA (nee BRA) for 1033-1055 Washington street. Not...

As posted on FB, most likely an old sign when they replaced the broken front stairs. When the owner died ownership went to the 'family, who rumor says can't agree on a disposition, so it remains in the family, unused.

MXD II (Google Kendall) | 325 Main St. | Kendall Square | Cambridge

There's an understatement. The Marriott courtyard used to be a nice place - music and farmers market in the summer. Now you go to that plaza and it is surrounded by 3 new skyscrapers and really feels like you're in a dark sunken pit. Curious how it bright it will be come june/july, but...

seeking History of Boston's General Mail facility

Someone posted the below image on Facebook (dated 1967). This, of course, being South Station platforms. On the right is what seems to be an older USPS building. The old Blue & White trucks. Tracks servicing - back in the days of mail via rail. Of course, the white building is...
