New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Do we think the women's soccer team would eventually play there as well? I expect they would find other uses for the stadium as well, even if they don't include most of the field, the way Fenway Park does.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I'm low-key hoping they're already into working on signaling.

    Biking in Boston

I'm not suggesting allowing rights on red. I'm suggesting protecting peds and cyclists with a lit-symbolic "No Right Turn" sign in addition to a "No Turn on Red" sign. Example (with a scofflaw driver): I do think you could get cute and allow some rights on red in certain cases where there are...

Transit via the Grand Junction Corridor | Cambridge and Boston

I suggest to start w a CT2 re-route that runs over the rail ROW where feasible. Pave along the tracks if it helps. Connect it to the SL3 and add signal priority BRT and you've got 80+% of what you would with LtR. MBTA figures out the routing, but maybe a segment that overlaps with SL3 extension...

    Biking in Boston

because they turn on and off depending on the light cycle. Sound confusing? You wouldn't be the only one. But just like anything, it'll be old hat if there are enough of them.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

This report is more agenda than report. It's not done from a transit perspective, but from the real-estate developers. If they want this to happen, they'll have to pony up. Unless that happens, Grand Junction is a costly lesser option when compared to a(n equally costly) downtown, tunneled...

    MBTA Construction Projects

My take-away from the meeting was the MBTA made the classic blunder of making a decision and then trying to ram-rod it through the neighbors, instead of gathering neighborhood feedback and then "basing their design off of that". When you do the latter, you generally end up with the same design...

    Biking in Boston

Every intersection in Cambridge has a No Turn on Red sign (assuming none have been removed/fallen off). More effective than these wordy signs would be either more arrows at intersections (green circles are pretty ambiguous for drivers) and/or these type of no right turn lighted signs...

North Station Gateway | 251 Causeway St | Bulfinch Triangle

I agree with y'all that its a shame to waste the existing value on that block, but I'm not sure the facades are where that value is. They're not ugly, but they're not gorgeous either... That said, yes to keeping the height if it goes forward, and uh, could we get a more daring design?

Red Line Extension to Arlington Heights

The minuteman ROW def makes the most sense from an urbanization point of view, but I wonder if an extension using part of the Rt 2 ROW is at all feasible or desirable. The big advantages are: From Lake Street and on, the ROW has extra capacity, enough for both the train and the construction...

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

That makes sense. Could you have one or more shuttles meet the train in Middleboro? They'd have to meet it at the Lakeville platform I assume. Ugh, I hope they don't make the Flyer a two-seat ride instead, which is entirely possible. It's slow enough as it is, and with all those people bringing...

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Is the pace of OL deliveries slowing and RL deliveries increasing yet, or will that not be until the entire 152 OL are delivered? Are there new GL cars coming from the same manufacturer as well?

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

If Worcester had good transit, maybe more people would go there. If they could connect the CR to the airport, they could get a lot of Metro-West (affluent community who likely travel for work) to use their airport. Also the WooSox, and other affordable cultural stuff.

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

Interesting, I didn't find that when I scrolled to Boston. However, maybe you already know you can turn on a Transit layer on Google Maps? Same place as switching between map and satellite view.

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

If I were Worcester, the first thing I would do is implement a sort of regional rail on the existing track structure, including upgrading all of this area to be electrified and/or use BEMU's. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1rv7hkzojxxczSbLhOCACGwYTmYtR3FI&usp=sharing Beyond that I would...

Has the MBTA ever explored running the 57 bus down the GL ROW (would require paving along the tracks) as far as Packards Corner?

    Watertown Infill CR Station

I like the idea of adding a station there, but probably not at the expense of an existing station. I also just don't think there's enough space there, maybe half of what you need to get a center-platform station (using Boston Landing as a model). I think the more valuable station is directly...
