I don't think any of us have been able to find them! We may need the insiders to help us out :)

Breeze recently started service to DEN and just announced DFW. My optimistic thought is that next year they'll start flying PWM-DEN/DFW/MSY summer-seasonally and add PBI or FLL for the winter. I honestly don't think LAS or LAX is as far-fetched as we might think and PWM could support a 2-3x...

FLL or MIA seem like absolute no-brainers for PWM especially with cruise ship connections. Even BGR has seasonal FLL flights with Allegiant. AA isn't flying seasonal MIA this year. That route might have been a little bit too long and thin for an E-175. it would be nice to see it come back with...

Good comparison! I'd also expect additional direct frequency to be added on PWM-MCO at some point...A third weekly frequency at the very least. Worth noting that PWM-TPA and PWM-RSW had some of the highest load factors for the whole Breeze network in November and December so it's no surprise...

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

Allegiant has a pretty strong base in the Queen City. Their BGR routes actually have some of the highest load factors on their whole east coast network. I do think there will be a little bit of passenger cannibalization for Breeze's Florida routes from PWM , but BGR's biggest "pull" is as a...

It looks like Breeze is coming to Bangor. BGR- MCO, TPA. and RSW are all bookable on the Breeze website with flights beginning in October

Out with the old, in with the new! If B6 wants their own jetway maybe they shouldn't have made PWM a seasonal backwater in their network :p

looks good! They even got the airline gate assignments correct. Although I’m more curious about the background and that highrise poking out of Munjoy Hill :)

In terms of runway length we have more than enough to play with compared to some airports! John Wayne / Orange County Airport (SNA) has one primary runway measuring just 5,700 feet in length! (Even shorter than our runway 18/36) and yet SNA regularly handles transcon flights to EWR, IAD and JFK...

Great explanation! I'm wondering why they didn't choose to widen the shoulders while leaving the 75' taxiway in place...MHT and even BTV have 25'-75'-25' taxiways. At the very least it would offer more operational flexibility although I'm sure a FedEx 757 or A300 could still go down to Runway 11...

My understanding is that FAA standards trump all state and local environmental standards. For example, when runway 18/36 was being widened and lengthened the City of South Portland was unsupportive of the project, but the FAA stepped in and gave the ultimate go-ahead.

One interesting and odd thing to note about the Taxiway A reconstruction is that it actually involves reducing the taxiway width from 75 to 50 ft while widening the shoulders from 15 to 25 ft. The overall pavement width remains essentially unchanged but the taxiway proper is narrower. I'm...

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

They're phasing out their E-190's fleet wide. They'll be mostly gone by this time next year. B6 just made a series of network cuts that PWM survived. Apparently additional "network rebalancing" will occur in the fall so we'll see what that could mean for JetBlue at PWM. Breeze will also be...

Well the recent MaineBiz article did say that Redfern was "in the early planning stages for 1,000 new apartment units on the Portland peninsula" We've got +/-340 here so that leaves another +/-660 unaccounted for....More than enough for a big downtown project or two ;)

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

One of my coworkers is moving into 201 at the beginning of April. She kept going on and on about the quality of the public spaces and how smooth the leasing process had been. Just another example that Redfern does it best!

I had seriously never noticed that the Northern Burner Supply building was the old car barn! The building has been altered so much it's hardly recognizable. (Although given recent events with the PMA let's not get into a discussion about how alterations impact historic buildings :p)

I do think PQI has room to grow and capture market share from BGR.... but I'm a bit skeptical as to whether there would ever be enough demand to fill an A220 every day even to just a 75% load factor. I think JetBlue is interested in PQI primarily for operational reasons.....it helps feed their...

The 50 units is just the first phase. The intention is to build another 5-6 story, 50ish unit building at the intersection of Boyd and Cumberland and then 20ish units of townhomes along Mayo St.
