Canal plaza is one of the worst wind tunnels in city. Is it possible that a new building in the lot could blunt it instead of making it worse? And yes we have too many people who only think Portland’s downtown is the spine view from 295 side inside of the aerial view which shows its density...

This is only way they’re getting anything in there are no other options. They’ll have to take down gate and eliminate any other uses for lot . Plus part of street will be shut down for long time . Is it easier to build a building of those dimensions or say longer but shorter Casco?

Hypothetically say this building is 340ish. From the 295 side of town do you think it will significantly stand above the spine or just slightly due to location?
