401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

Any time I see those solitary concrete cores completed with no floors built, I just think of the opening scene from 2001 A Space Odyssey.
They aren't quite the same dimensions as the legendary monoliths, but just the same, now that you've said it, that's what I see now, too.

Feels like this is going pretty slow. Heres a pic from april 2023 of the completed pit with no core. In a year all weve gotten is the core to rise out of this pit and just now a couple steel beams. The core is only 16 stories tall too, it only took 3 months to construct. It was finished by last september. So from september to now weve gotten 1 concrete floor and 1 steel floor. Hopefully it picks up now that steel is rising.
 
I really like this. The combo of the dark colossal order "structure" and divided lights, all in neat, unjumbled rows is a little bit stern, a little bit sultry. Like that German girl that introduced you to Kraftwerk and wore fishnets with her Doc Martins.
