Amsterdam's redlight district photos

While looking at those, I thought about how the girls get home after their shift is over. Must be scary/sketchy. All the streets seem like back alleyways and some of the people there must not be the most trustworthy

but then again, its an area where sex is a commercial good. if people wanted some, they'd buy it. also, crime is dramatically lower in most of europe than in the u.s. however, place those types of alleyways in detroit and you'd be in serious trouble.
 
The red light district is touristy and considered quite safe.

I guess by definition, everybody's a tourist in such a place --except if they actually work there.

The lights are definitely red.
