During the early morning hours of October 3rd, 2011 Barletta Heavy Division assembled the three final superstructure segments of the North Bank Pedestrian Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts.
Using their own 300-ton Manitowoc 2250, and assisted by Saugus Construction Corp., they lifted, placed, bolted-up and secured each piece systematically, safely and smoothly.
After numerous days of heavy rains a clear, cloudless fall night appeared for this final hurdle. However, just as they were about to fly the final piece (around 4AM) a huge cloud bank rolled in off Boston Harbor and enveloped the whole operation.
