WBUR has launched a special website for its four-part series on Boston architecture. All four parts are now available for listening online. It features some interesting guides, including Mayor Menino, Alex Krieger, Kairos Shen, Moshe Safdie and Nader Tehrani, among many others. I really reccomend it, there are some great observations and analyses.

Part 1: The Greenway
2. Soul of the City
3. The Edge of Urbanism
4. Future Footprint

Heres a description from the site.

Boston architecture is a beguiling blend of old and new. Four centuries of building history form a living, three dimensional collage, where neo Georgian weds post modern, and colonial exchanges vows with Federal, sometimes on the same city block, and always within shouting distance of the sea.

Our city has the highest number of architects per capita in the United States. Yet the city is known more for brownstone than it is for Bauhaus. Can Boston's architects kick up their heels working within this four hundred year old footprint? How will urban planners refit our city to meet 21st century needs while still reflecting 17th century dreams? Join host Ken Shulman as Boston By Design tours the city with some of the area's most articulate designers, showing you the city you know, and the city you thought you knew.
