Thread hijack.

Better questions than the Globe's are the following, of which the majority I am skeptical any of the candidates could answer.

Forget the Boston Globe with its easy questions for the 12 Boston mayoral candidates. (“Do you support cleaner air?”)

How many could answer the following questions correctly if asked without allowing them to do any research?

How many Boston residents live in public housing developments (not Section 8) (BHA, federal, or both)?

How many Boston residents receive food stamps?

What is the budget for the city of Boston in fiscal 2014 (round to the nearest billion)?

What percentage of the city’s budget is spent on Boston public schools? How much money is that (round to the nearest hundred million)?

How many students are enrolled in Boston Public Schools (include pilot and charter schools)?

How do you pronounce Filene’s? How do you pronounce Faneuil Hall? How do you spell Faneuil Hall?

How many times have you met (shook hands, acknowledged each other by name, urinated next to each other) the CEOs/Chairpersons/Presidents of Liberty Mutual, Fidelity Investments, New Balance?

What is the appropriate mix of a vodka and cranberry?

What is minimum wage in Massachusetts?

Which company is the largest private employer within the city of Boston (including residents and non-residents)?

How much does a bus ride cost on the MBTA with a Charlie Card?

How many people have been murdered in Boston in 2013? In 2012?

What is the name of the subway stop / bus stop closest to your home?

You're running for mayor, right John?

Most mayoral candidates' knowledge of Boston stops at Gallivan Blvd ...

Most mayoral candidates' knowledge of Boston stops at Gallivan Blvd ...

I don't get it. Gallivan Blvd is almost the southern edge of Boston. So what are you implying by the phrase?

::sigh:: I was going to type American Legion Highway but really don't know where either of the roads are.

They're not really downtown types - I don't even know if you can get a (617) exchange there.
