Boston Preservation Alliance's Gala on the Greenway

The Boston Preservation Alliance is pleased to announce that they are holding their 2010 Gala and Auction on May 13, 2010, 6PM. Governor Michael S. Dukakis and Frederick P. Salvucci, former Secretary of Transportation for the Commonwealth, will be honored with the Alliance?s first ?Living Icons? award for their vision in conceiving Boston's Central Artery Project and fortitude in making it a reality.

Guests will enjoy both silent and live auctions featuring a range of exciting items including travel packages, tickets to cultural and sporting events, gift certificates to Boston?s finest restaurants and historic hotels, as well as novelties related to preservation. Proceeds from the auction will support the Boston Preservation Alliance?s efforts to preserve Boston?s invaluable historic built environment through leadership, education, and advocacy.

The Gala and Auction will be held at Goulston & Storrs, 400 Atlantic Avenue. Built in 1900 and located directly on the Greenway, the venue boasts magnificent views of Boston?s historic waterfront.

Founded in 1978, the Boston Preservation Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that protects and improves the quality of Boston's distinct architectural heritage. Through advocacy and education, we bring people and organizations together to influence the future of Boston's historic buildings, landscapes and communities.
