So disheartening to see those massive empty lots right in the middle of a thriving neighborhood. Right now Bayside feels very split. Lots of development and revitalization happening in east and west Bayside but the core of the neighborhood has more or less been in stasis for over a decade.

Developing those parcels would really tie all of Bayside together...Just a crazy thought here.. but a developer building on those parcels could call their project "midtown" or something...
 
That area looks ripe for an urban residential/entertainment district. 1 and 2 bedroom apartments & condos geared toward 20s/30s professional singles/couples and empty nesters.....along with a good mix of "lifestyle" retail and desirable brand restaurants.
 
Good thing there is some maroon color in it. Otherwise, it would like a minimum security prison.
