Tour Some Of The Homes In Downtown Crossing, Boston's Premier Residential Neighborhood

On Saturday, May 11th, from 11 am-3 pm, discover why 8,000 people now call Downtown Crossing and the surrounding area home during the Downtown Boston BID's inaugural "Downtown: Home Where The Heart Is" home tour. Residents at 12 different homes will open their doors to showcase the best of downtown living.

Designed to showcase the new amenity-laden construction that is transforming Downtown Crossing into one of Boston's premier residential neighborhoods, the tour highlights the many comforts of living in the heart of Downtown: food, shopping, and theaters all within walking distance.

Downtown Boston has been the hub of revitalization for the past 10 years. Public & private investment totaling more than $3.2 billion has renovated theaters, refurbished hotels, and attracted dozens of new restaurants. Thousands of new residential units have been added in the past decade, increasing downtown's residential population by 23%. An additional 2,000 units are slated to open in the next five years.

Stops along the self-guided tour, from 11 am-3 pm, include:

Millennium Place (172 Tremont St. showroom)
Archstone Boston Common (660 Washington St.)
The Kensington (665 Washington St.)
The Hayden Building (8 LaGrange St. [side entrance to 681 Washington St.])
45 PROVINCE
The Devonshire (1 Devonshire St.)
The Grandview (165 Tremont St.)
The Edison (42 Chauncy St.)
37 Temple Place

(A portion of the proceeds will go to The One Fund Boston, established to aid victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.)

In honor of Mother's Day weekend, attendees who bring their mother on the tour will receive a 10% discount. Enter the PROMO code MOM when purchasing tickets.

All attendees must check-in at 49 Social (49 Temple Pl.) to receive their credentials prior to embarking on the tour. 49 Social will be open from 11 am-2:30 pm as a hospitality suite for tour attendees.

From 3-4 pm, attendees are invited to the Millennium Place showroom at 172 Tremont St. for a preview the condominiums of downtown's newest luxury residence. Set to open this fall, Millennium Place will include amenities such as a garden, health club, and marquee restaurant. Over 50 percent of the residential tower's 256 units are already under agreement.
