Looks like the current lease for office has defaulted, so Essex North who developed 20 thames is going to convert the upper floors from office to residential. Ground will become a restaurant with outdoor seating. Plans are to develop the lot next to Galt Block in the future. No plans for that lot.

Interesting, it looks like they have the lot next to it as "future development".
When I worked at Auto Europe, I thought that building out a front dormer on the 5th floor for a boardroom would have been phenomenal. But AE isn't the "fancy boardroom" type of company, and I wasn't involved at the planning level in any way. (Punched down a lot of Cat 5 cable in that building, though!) I wonder if they'll try to add a sixth floor inside somehow, or put a mezzanine in the 5th floor lofts; that ceiling is high enough to play basketball.
