I'm not sure why, on a BOSTON forum, there isn't a single thread on Boston sports but sitting here watching the Pats it occurred to me that we should have a thread on Boston sports.

This thread will be for Pats discussion and live-blogging Pats games.

Others can create threads for the Cs, Bs, and Sox.

Half Time: NE 24, IND 14

Just started watching so I don't know how this game has been going but if that's the score at HT then it must be a sick game. Two great teams going head to head.

It's been great, but towards the end of the half the Patriots were cooling off and the Colts were getting hot. They've been back and forth, but the Patriots had been getting at Manning more. However, last two drives of the half, the Colts forced the Patriots three-and-out. And the kick...returned to the 28 by Slater.

Brady picked, then Manning picked. Unsportsmanlike conduct on our immature secondary, we get half the distance to the goal line. At least we have the ball.

Talk about two evenly matched teams.

Maroney fumbles in the endzone (two consecutive Patriots turnovers in the endzone). Colts forced to punt, Welker returns to the ~10 yard line, end of 3rd quarter. Man I love that guy.

Brady to Moss for the touchdown, 31-14 Patriots with ~13:30 left in the game.

Manning traipses down the field in 2:04, touchdown. 31-21 Patriots, 12:14 left.

Wilhite intercepts Manning! Returned to the 30 yard line, 7:44 left.

Colts hold Patriots to a field goal, 34-21 Patriots lead with ~4:20 left.

This game is over. The Colts are playing like crap and NE isn't even trying as hard as they could (since they don't need to). The Colts are good but NE really stepped it up this last half.

Look what just happened. Manning brings them down the field, touchdown, 34-28 Patriots with 2:23 left.

I'm going to take credit for jinxing them. It wasn't the Colts at all, it was all my attitude.

That was too tight.

That was an impressive comeback I must say. Two well matched teams indeed.

What the fuck. WHAT THE FUCK. Belichick is a FUCKING MORON. Not only was it a bad call to go on fourth, but it was a TERRIBLE play.

FUCK. This is as bad as the god damn Superbowl.

This is the worst thread ever. Pats would have won if it wasnt for this thread

Delete the thread Van, or you're risking the playoffs.

Looking on the bright side... at least we saw that the Pats can handle the Colts. I mean, let's not forget that the Pats stayed up by a consistent 10 points or more for some 50 minutes of the game.

Besides them, it doesn't look like there's too much real competition from within the AFC (although the Bengals are mighty hungry and have an easy rest-of-season schedule), so here's looking forward to a Pats-Colts AFC Championship game.

I thought we had sports threads in the past?

Anyway, ppl are killing BB for that 4th and 2 call. I think it was the right call. Anybody see that Indy drive to make it 31-21? unreal. 2 minutes?

We punt and Manning scores a touch anyway 4 out of 5 times. We convert that 4th and 2 60% of the time IMO.

Even if it was the wrong call, I'd rather make a mistake being over-aggressive than playing not to lose by running 3 times in a row and punting and losing the game.
