I'm heading to Istanbul for 8 days in a week and a half and am looking for suggestions on things to see/do from anyone here who has been. I'm staying in Sultanahmet and will obviously spend some time at the major sites. I'm also planning to do an overnight in Cappadocia (fly to Kayseri, rent a car, do a night in Goreme). Other than that, I'm pretty open to anything in the city or possibly a day trip (even a long day trip) outside the city. My interests tend to fall in line with those of the members of this forum and your opinions have been helpful in the past at other places. Thanks (I'll post photos when I get back).
