I love seeing the new sightlines that appear when a new landmark goes up. Thats a pretty noticeable spot that this is going to occupy, right in the center of mass ave when looking across the charles from MIT/cambridge.
Its going to be very noticeable on mass ave from the other direction as well.
Having it placed in kind of the no-mans land between the back bay and fenway or northeastern should really allow it to stand out on its own. I feel like just the fact that its going to be soo prominent on mass ave is going to ensure this becomes a local landmark. It doesnt hurt that it appears to be a pretty high quality design as well. Extra points for the boston themed slanty roof.
I wish they had shown a few renders of what it will look like from across the charles, but I guess well just have to wait and see.
