I figured I'd make a thread where I (or anyone else who wants to) can show off cool photos of various metro systems. I'll start with some cool tile/paint schemes from Berlin:

Paulsternstrasse (U7)

If there's a moral here it's that a cool tile pattern can do a lot for an otherwise boring station.

I'll add a few from my international travels! Looking for photos I apparently don't make a habit of taking photos of the transit I ride, (though I seem to take plenty of the planes involved) but here's a couple that I could find:

Glasgow, and it's diminutive subway system, which hasn never expanded since it's opening in 1896, which makes it a year older than the GL.

Hong Kong, and its quasi subway railroad MTR East - they don't shy away from the cableways and industrial vibe.

I spent a few days in Madrid and apparently never took a single photo of the metro, but here's how you evacuate a broken Renfe AVE - via an incredibly steep little ramp.

Ditto for not taking photos of anything metro in Singapore- I blame the early stages of getting COVID - but this is the outdoor promanade covering one of their station entrances, containing one of the most spectacular TOD spaces I've ever been through - I'm told the entire thing is owned by the MTR, Singapore's metro. and apparently crosswalks that have card taps for the elderly so they have more time to cross the street.
