New 270 unit apartment building in downtown Framingham starting construction in Spring 2017. Former site of a Harley-Davidson dealership.

Kind of generic looking but they did manage to get the town to allow 6 stories high, and it's not too far from the Framingham commuter rail stop. But this is such a bad area that I can't see people plopping down 2k+ a month for it.

Has a two story parking garage underneath the structure.
 
I saw this a few weeks ago, but forgot to post about it on here for some reason. Thanks for putting it up here.

I agree that downtown Framingham isn't a good area, but the town has been trying to lay the groundwork for improvements and this should hopefully help the area improve, because it's pretty ideally located for TOD.

I hope it's well soundproofed. There are two trains at 5:27am through the grade crossing across the street, and the last train isn't until 1:02am.
 
Downtown framingham just got completely rezoned a few months ago. Lots of transit oriented development coming down the pipeline.
 
That proposal by the owners of Shoppers World is kind of interesting... my guess is that it would be where the parking lot is across the street from the movie theater. Better area, but would be too far from the West Natick CR stop to use it. Convenient to the Pike and of course Route 9.
