My neighborhood in JP needs a sidewalk

We don't have an existing sidewalk in my neighborhood and the parking police are starting to do their spring/summer ticketing for "parking on the sidewalk." I'm thinking about petitioning for one but I'm not sure who I should talk to, can anybody give me a suggestion?

Are you on a private or public street? There are still many private streets in the city.

Your friendly neighborhood City Councilor is usually the best place to start. Gotta be some shovel ready funds to dole out.
