“The IMPNF will propose a new seven (7) story clinical building situated in the southeast corner of the Franciscan Campus, which will house both in-patient and out-patient uses. The IMPNF will also reference ongoing and proposed campus improvement an d maintenance projects, which are below the threshold for the term of the IMP, which will expire in 2033. The Franciscan Clinical building will add approximately 229,000 new Sf to the Franciscan Campus.”

This is the current design:

Compared to the previous design:

The new design is a massive downgrade imo, something youd see in a suburban office park. It wastes so much space and puts it way back from the street destroying the street wall it created with the previous design. Hopefully they undo the VE.

Huh. It looks like the original plan includes retaining most of the existing structure. The new plan would eliminate almost all of the existing hospital, except the school. - Im curious about what the impetus is there. Given the mission of the hospital /school, I can somewhat understand buffering the construction from the ongoing uses, but do think the original long term vision would have been better at it.
