Well, why not? Boston is awesome but the Woo has it's charms.

To wit: the wife and I headed to Polar Park this past weekend for "Winter in Wooville", a Christmas lights display. Less elaborate than some other displays we've been to, but it was a nice time out and the families there all seemed to enjoy it. Good excuse for me to play with camera settings in advance of going back to Daytona for the 24 hour race next month.

Went to Monster Jam at the DCU Center today, and had a bit of time to stroll around the arena between the Pit Party and the actual show. Worcester is more of a city than I think most people give it credit for, still a lot of parking lots downtown but it's getting more filled in and there are some neat urban scapes if you know where too look.

And a few inside the arena itself. The lower ribbon boards are new and make the seating bowl look more modern, but have the unfortunate side effect of covering up where the section numbers used to be, so people were confused. They seem to have adjusted the lighting as well since my last time in the building, they can now do that "darken the audience" think that NBA arenas have done over the last several years that I don't really like, especially since it makes the building feel less like the one I grew up with. It's begun to truly feel less like the Centrum and more like the DCU Center.
