That building was once featured in the "Preservation" magazine put out by the National Trust For Historic Preservation. Next to the pic of the building was the caption "Yikes!" Every issue they would feature one example of inappropriate treatment to an historic building somewhere in the U.S.

The pics have been taken down, but I'm guessing you're referring to the BU owned apartment building on Beacon St. known as the "trailer park in the sky"?
