US-1 and MA-129/Walnut St. One of the worst exits in state, consistent traffic problems on half of the ramps and accidents way too often to count.

Here's my sketch out for a sort of Half Parclo/Diamond hybrid.

In addition, acceleration/deceleration lanes would be good, even if brief. Or perhaps better (in my "improve yet somehow add no capacity" mind) make the right lanes exit only (leaving 4 lanes going under the bridge).

LOL

I forgot to add a line... Oops. I'm sure you can use your imagination and add a line coming off the southeastern-most ramp. :p

EDIT: This is supposed to be in Design a Better Boston.

Are the accidents caused by weaving in the cloverleaf? It looks like the entrance and exit ramps are reasonably far apart as it is.

I'm not positive on cause, but I hear of roll overs pretty often, so perhaps turn radius, and I usually see a lot of rear ending (probably because of stop signs at the onramp and/or lack of acceleration lanes).

Late lane change + hitting an exit ramp with what I believe is a 15 mph speed limit.
