Charles River Skatepark | East Cambridge

The CRC uses skatepark. Not sure if it's grammatically correct or not but that's how it's referred to.

Quick question, it looks like this is going to be open to the public and free to skate here. How does this work with liability if somebody breaks an arm or something? Are they going to have a sign posted that says use it at own risk we are not responsible for injuries or something like that? If it is open like that I think that is great for the kids though, because they don't have to pay to skate downtown and this was designed to give them an alternate place to skate.

MGL c. 21 s. 17c generally provides liability protection for property that is opened to the public for recreational use.

We're open! Come on down and have some fun, if you are so inclined:

Saw about a dozen sk8ers heading toward Cambridge from the Science Museum around 2:30. This place is going to be very busy I think. Now they just need more cross-river connections - especially by the old Spaulding - to make it more accessible from Boston.

They're coming. Plans for a "South Bank Bridge" by North Station and a footbridge following the bascule bridge will go a long way towards making the area more accessible.

Thanks for the kind words, all. This project started when I was around 7 or 8- it's been great to play a small part in bringing it to fruition.

I rode by around noon today, packed with people using it and plenty of spectators hanging around watching. Looks like a great success! I wonder if Nashua Street Park (eggs) is still going to be used by the skateboard crowd?
