MBTA plans to discontinue Silver Line SL3 branch to City Point due to low ridership

You guys seem to still be under the impression that everyone lives in the same reality.

Hopefully the T reinstates this service if the Boston Edison area is developed.

The problem with it was that it looped over to Silver Line Way to take the silver line tunnel and everyone just wanted to get to South Station ASAP. It was like 10-20 mins faster to just wait for the regular bus which stayed on Summer St and brought you right there.

Honestly the Silver Line in its current forum was the biggest waste of money ever. Those stations along the waterfront are so elaborate yet the service is so terrible. I don't get it.

Development there would not have happened without it.

The last time that I was at the bank was a few weeks ago. It was running then. m

Maybe not to City Point, but it was in operation where the cruise ships arrive & leave from.

Thats SL2 bro

Dedicated bus lanes would have provided better service and cost much less tbh.

Of course in many places Boston drivers don't know what bus lanes are and always drive in them.

SL1.

I'm locking this thread since there is no point. If the MBTA revives SL2 to City Point or Southie then it'll be reopened.
