The Brookliner | 5 Washington Street | Brighton

Thanks, BeeLine. The thread was once removed. Didn't Look like anything was going to happen. The spot where Whole Foods & Citizen's Bank is, is supposed to be part of that remodeling.

Guess that in Boston, some things take forever to do. :(

Sounds like there's a pile driver over there, but I don't think there is one yet! I'll go look.

From the link:

" Interestingly, the would-be developer wants to set aside about 1,000 square feet of the building’s anticipated 12,500 square feet of ground-floor retail for a local business, per the Herald’s Donna Goodison. That local vendor would be charged below-market-rate rent. Stay tuned. "

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! Good to see.

I'm confused(?) I thought this was a different project (5 Washington SQ) from the Whole Foods (15 Washington) project. The demo in my photos is taking place across the street (Corey Rd) from the rear of the Whole Foods. Nothing is going on at the Whole Foods site referenced.
Oh, my mistake, I was tricked by the general location and visuals. I'll edit that out.

You're welcome, BeeLine. Seems that this whole thing was blended together once. I'm confused also because when Whole Foods & Citizens was being talked about, the land where the gas station was,was not mentioned at all. Is it just going to just sit there & be an eyesore or will it start being worked on immediately? We'll see. 🤨

Waiting for some steel or concrete to rise up & show its face, but nothing has come up from the ground yet.

Still digging and blasting at 5 Washington St, lots of ledge. A large drainage structure has been installed as well. Historically, there was a steam thru the middle of the site from Corey and proceeds down Bartlett Crescent. The drawings show an intention to re-route the stream / culvert around the site from Corey, down Washington and back into Bartlett, but this looks a lot large than they were planning on. All the photos are from Washington Street.

Citizen's Bank is closed. I wonder if any work is about to begin in that spot. Have not heard much of anything for that area yet.

I will get over there & take some pics when I get the chance to install the SDHC card installed in my smart phone. 😊
