Great Shot BostonUrbEx - Thanks for sharing and keep them coming. Providence is a wonderful city and was very impressed on my one and only visit.

Thanks!

I'm impressed by Providence, as well. Yesterday was only the second (maybe third) time I've actually been to downtown Providence. Yesterday was the first time I've seen the canal area, and I was absolutely in love with it.

Another wonderful shot - I found the city truly a "mini Boston." It is compact, friendly, diverse, and walkable.

Nice shots, BostonUrbEx! Looking forward to more. I've never been to Providence, I'd love take some photos down there someday.

These are from an old photo thread of mine

Totally Agree CityLover94 - As I Said Earlier A "Mini Boston" and A Lovely City.

In the Boondock Saints sequel, they tried to pass that last shot off as Boston.

This is a great building. For several years I had an office on the 14th floor. In those days, the 15th and 16th floors were the home of The Turks Head Club, which served breakfast and lunch and is now defunct.

First time looking at this Providence thread. Providence really needs a large Cthulu statue. With other statues of Lovecrafts creations spread throughout the city

The corner building you saw them in and where they are standing outside in your bottom photo was the old ornate Beaux-Arts Providence Journal Building. I recall seeing them there years ago but not recently. There is a currently stalled proposal to turn this and the adjacent Kresge building into a Hotel Hive boutique hotel. Abdo purchased the buildings back in 2018 for the hotel project but the economic conditions have hampered progress. The Big Nazo puppet costumes may have had to move when the building got new ownership.

Anybody know where all these costumes are now stored?

This is the actual performing arts group. I stumbled upon these costumes years ago in a corner building downtown but I think they have been moved.

Maybe on Fulton now? Anybody know if they're still there?

Not helpful, but I thought they still had that space and another someplace else (Valley?) in addition to this building on Westminster which is in development: Neighborhood Nights: Neighborhood Development — West Broadway Neighborhood Association (wbna.org)

Went for a walk around downtown Providence this afternoon. These are some of the photos I took:

Excellent work. What type of photo equipment are you using?
